Commentary: Try it, you'll like it

Want to express your opinions? Just click the "Submit Letters" on the menu on the left side of the page and express your opinions on your neighborhood, your city or anything else that concerns you. Then click the "Send Comments."
Want to submit fiction, poetry, the minutes of your group's meeting, story ideas, a press release about your organization or other things of interest to our readers? Do the same thing. We will consider any submission for our web site and possibly the magazine.
Like our pictures? We now have about 160 of the pictures that have been published in the magazine and we are putting 50 to 100 additional photographs on the web site every week. They are high quality and you can download them. You can use them in your neighborhood group's web site or non-profit publication as long as you credit Edwin Custer, East Village Magazine.
Just click on "Photographs" in the menu, select the picture you want and click on it.
Want to read every story we have run dealing with a particular topic? Go to the "Archives" and put in keywords. We have on the web site the contents of all the magazines back to 1993 and are working back to 1976.
Need the address, phone number, web site or e-mail address of neighborhood groups, cultural institutions or political office holders? Select "Link" from the menu. We now have 88 groups and individuals listed, including neighborhood groups, cultural institutions, foundations, churches, educational organizations, libraries and politicians from city councilmen to the president. And, we are adding more as they become available.
If your group is not listed submit the information.
The web site, eastvillagemagazine.org, is a unique communications medium for Flint residents. Take advantage of it. You will find that it is a valuable resource.
