Events scheduled for Halloween fans

At Crossroads Village, G-6140 Bray Rd., events are scheduled for weekends through Oct. 30.
The Huckleberry Ghost Train will pass 50 ghostly scenes, some with live performers. After the train ride there will be a Halloween stage show in the opera house and treats.
The train will leave the Crossroads Depot every 50 minutes between 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Fridays and 1 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 24. Tickets are $5.25 and $4.25 for those in costume.
Crossroads Village is also offering trick-or-treating for children 12 and under and their adult companions from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 25 to Oct. 30. A haunted carousel, ghostly singers and a 15-foot lighted pumpkin are among the attractions. Tickets are $3. Call 736-7100 for details.
The Cody branch library, 3501 Fenton Rd., is holding a pumpkin decorating event at 6 p.m. Oct. 25. Anyone who wishes to prepare for Halloween can decorate a pumpkin from the library's Halloween garden. Call 238-5822 for details.
The Longway Planetarium, 1310 E. Kearsley St., is getting into the spirit of the season with "Spooky Skies," a Halloween music show which combines laser artistry with vintage Halloween melodies and movies.
"Spooky Skies" can be seen at 6:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and at 3:15 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 31. Call 760-1181 for details.
