A fond farewell to Kara
By Julie Dec 2006
She was also an important part of our organization as contributing editor, research consultant and a meticulous proofreader who caught many of the inevitable mistakes in our copy before it was published. Before that she was a reporter, staff writer and news editor during her more than 21 years with the magazine.
Her eclectic column was the anchor with which we ended every issue, from her first column about receiving a Raggedy Ann doll as a child to her last when she hinted she had to move on.
We will miss her and so will her thousands of fans. She has been a key member of our volunteer staff for almost 22 years and has made a significant contribution to what this magazine has become.
You can find all her past columns on our web site, either on the Features Page or in the Archives.
We wish her the best of luck in her new endeavors.
Goodbye, Kara and the best of luck as you enter your new world — may it be a happy one with a "white picket fence."
