Church’s Chicken site plans are approved

The Flint Planning Commission Dec. 14 approved site plans for a storage structure at Church's Chicken, 3410 Corunna Rd.

Architect Jeffery Brands said that the structure will be at the back of the building with three light poles nearby and will not affect parking.

The group discussed qualifications for chief planning officer, a city position appointed by the mayor. Members discussed qualities such as the candidate must have a good vision of the city, must listen to community groups and must focus on the city's dynamics and organization.

The group will meet next at 6 p.m. Jan. 11, Jan. 25 and Feb. 8 in the City Council Chambers in City Hall, 1101 S. Saginaw St. Call (810) 766-7355 for details.
