Opinion: Preview of Feb. 23 Planning Commission meeting

Print

The Planning Commission will meet at 6 p.m. Feb. 23 on the third floor of Flint City Hall in a room behind the city council chambers.

This week's agenda includes a presentation of the Metawanenee Hills Neighborhood Plan and a project status update from Wade Trim on the Hamilton Dam modifications and Riverfront Restoration Master Plan. There will be a public meeting organized by Wade Trim to discuss work on the Hamilton Dam project from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 25 at Northbank Center.  There is more info available at http://www.wadetrim.com/hamilton_dam/input.html.

There will also be a report on the CEDS (Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy) process.

Under old business, there is the standing item of Master Planning Initiative, with a sub-item of "Discussion items submitted by Commissioner Jewell."  I think this refers to the list of things generated at the last meeting regarding master planning that commissioners identified as wanting to keep on our radar screens.
