Opinion: Preview of Planning Commission meeting June 8

Print

The Flint Planning Commission will meet at 6 p.m. June 8 on the third floor of City Hall to review a site plan review for a new Department of Human Services office building on Clio just south of Pierson roads.

The proposed building would be in the Hallwood Plaza, just west of the Citizens Bank building.  From the site plan, it looks like the facility is a one-story building with some handicapped-accessible parking on the east and a larger parking lot on the west, with a water retention pond at the far west end of the property.  The retention pond looks like it would be built in what is now a wooded area.

The group will also hear from Wizeguys Pizza about their outdoor seating.

Anyone can come to comment on anything within our jurisdiction during the public forum.  People wishing to speak on the site plan in particular can do so after the applicant speaks during the site plan review.
