Poetry: House arrest or lonely in Burma
Written by Colleen J. Boucher Friday, 12 March 2010 17:24
Some people are meant to live these peaceful times
to remind us what peace can be separate of the united
individual dark in day military regime.
The same as water breaks at the falling leaf-bending shakes
the military regime — Aung San Suu Kyi — lotus blossoming
not wilting leaf, land softly on the unshakable sea
for gardens can grow in water, rising, for gardens can grow in water
as doth the delicate intrepid water lily.
