Poetry: Commencements
Written by Grayce Scholt Tuesday, 26 April 2011 18:47
Into each other's state we pass,
showing visas, paying coins;
at this gray gate
our countries meet
though no lands join;
our height is noted only
in the towers that top
the pilings deep beneath the sea.
You come to me.
And so we pass
upon a bridge that's hung
on twisted wires finely strung
from sky of glass.
We have become the
going, and the coming
on a road that has no turning
on the no return to home.
